WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?
We are always happy to have new friends come our way. Visiting any church for the very first time can be an uneasy experience, but not at Heritage Baptist Church. We want your first visit to be one that you find to be friendly and enjoyable for your whole family. We want you to experience uplifting music and Biblical preaching. Our goal is to be seen as a friendly church and a place where you feel welcome. The information below will help you as you plan your first visit. We are normal, everyday people. Being a family means living life and growing together, so you don't have to worry about being perfect. None of us are! We are a diverse, loving group of people.
Our focus is Jesus. We worship and follow Jesus. Religion can be confusing and complicated. Religion complicates what God makes simple. Rather than focusing on measuring up to a religious standard, we'd like to invite you to have a relationship with Jesus Christ.
We're not all experts. You certainly don't have to feel pressured into "fitting in." We desire to be real and genuine with our faith in Christ, and you can be the same way with us.
We believe the Bible is relevant today. We believe the Bible has the answer to every questions that we have. The preaching and teaching will focus on what the Bible says and how the Bible applies to us today.

What are your church services like?
Our worship services are designed to worship God through our singing of hymns of faith and familiar choruses. Special music from our choir or soloists help us prepare our hearts for the message. Our Pastor will share truths from the Bible that are applicable to everyday life and encourage spiritual growth. You can watch any of our recent sermons on our Facebook page or YouTube channel.
What time are your church services?
Sunday School 9:00 a.m.
Sunday Morning 10:15 a.m.
Sunday Evening 6:00 p.m.
Wednesday Evening* 6:30 p.m.
*Service and AWANA Programs are held at 1613 Pollack Avenue
How long does your church service last?
Our worship service centers on God and the preaching of His Word. Every hymn, chorus, or special focuses your heart and mind on God. You can expect our worship services to last around an hour.
What should I wear for a church service?
We want you to feel welcome and comfortable here at Heritage Baptist Church. Many of our church family dress up for our services, but feel free to wear what's comfortable for you.
Where do I take my children?
Our children's ministry includes the nursery, children's Sunday school classes, and children's church. Hosts are available to help you find the nursery for your child under the age of 2 years. All other children participate in our song service and are dismissed to their classes before the message begins.
What adult classes are available?
Our adult ministry has several opportunities for adults to get together. Men can participate in the Men of Faith meetings which are held on the third Tuesday of the month. Women can participate in the Women of Joy meetings which are held on the first Thursday of every month, or the weekly Prayer Meeting which is held on Tuesdays. Seniors can participate in our Young at Heart ministry which meets throughout the year as announced. We also have a couple's ministry for married, engaged or seriously dating couples. This ministry meets throughout the year as announced.

Our services are held in the sanctuary of Heritage Baptist Church located at 1900 S. Lodge Avenue, Evansville, Indiana. Church hosts and ushers are waiting to answer your questions and help you acclimate to Heritage Baptist Church.

Where should I park?
Accessible parking is available for all who attend our services. We own a gated parking lot directly across the street from the church building at the corner of Lodge Avenue and Conlin Avenue. A map of available parking can be viewed below.
